Moving on……

I always remember being told years ago by my dog trainer, to always move on with my training and try not to get stuck in a rut.

People expect a dogs skills to stay at the same level once they have been trained to do something. Sadly not always true.

What works well this week or next, won’t necessarily work in a month or 6 months time.

Also, if  training isn’t kept up, or things start to get done in a hap hazard way, training can actually go pear shaped and go on a downwards spiral very quickly.

So mixing your training up a bit and moving on, doing it in different places and times, can make it more enjoyable for you & your dog and also make your dog think a bit more.

Remember to move on folks.
